The 5 Best Next.js Agency Website Templates in 2026 (Compared)

The Next.js agency and studio website templates worth buying in 2026, compared honestly - what each ships, whether it has case-study pages, and the license terms that decide whether you can use it for client work.

An agency website has one job that most landing pages don't: it has to prove taste. The work grid, the type, the way a case study reads - visitors judge the studio by the site before they read a word about services. That makes the template choice unusually visible. It also makes the license unusually important, because agencies are the buyers most likely to reuse a template for client sites, and that is exactly where license terms differ. This is an honest comparison of five worth considering, one of them ours, plus a note on why the free options are thinner here than in other categories.

What to check before you buy

  • Your own site or client sites - using a template for your studio's own website and using it as a starting point for client projects are licensed differently almost everywhere.
  • Case-study pages - a filterable work grid is the minimum; individual project pages with process and outcomes are what win briefs.
  • Pages beyond the homepage - services, about and team, process, and a contact page with a working form.
  • Design range - one distinctive look you'll keep, or many demos you'll choose between.
  • Version currency and accessibility - check package.json for Next.js 16 and Tailwind v4, and whether contrast and keyboard access were actually tested.

The 5 best Next.js agency website templates in 2026

1. Studio - Best overall, with case-study pages

Studio is the agency template from Tailwind Plus, designed and built by the Tailwind CSS team with Next.js and TypeScript. It's a multi-page site - work, about, process, blog, and contact - and, importantly, it includes individual case-study pages for projects, each telling the story of a piece of work rather than just showing a thumbnail. The design and code quality are excellent. It costs $99 one-time and covers unlimited personal and commercial projects, with one restriction agencies should note: you can't use it to build a website or template that is resold to multiple clients.

2. Agency Studio - Best editorial studio site with filterable work

Agency Studio is ours. It's a five-page studio site - home, work, services, about, and contact - with a distinctly editorial look: a Fraunces serif display face over Plus Jakarta Sans, in light and dark mode. The homepage runs hero, a marquee strip, about, services, selected work, a process section, testimonials, and a closing call to action. The work page filters projects by Branding, Web, Development, and Motion with live counts; services lays out four disciplines in depth; and about includes a team section with roles and portraits. It's built on Next.js 16, React 19, and Tailwind v4, with every route checked against WCAG 2.2 AA in both themes and the check shipped as npm run test:a11y.

The honest tradeoffs: there are no individual case-study pages - projects live in one typed data file and show in the filterable grid, so if long-form case studies are central to how you sell, Studio is the better fit. The contact form needs a real handler (email or CRM) before launch, and the projects, team, and testimonials are sample content to replace. On licensing: the Solo license covers your studio's own website; building client sites from it needs the Team license (up to 5 projects) or Agency license (unlimited).

3. Aceternity UI agency templates - Best for motion-heavy sites

Aceternity UI is known for animated React components, and its template collection includes two agency options: Agenlabs, a clean agency site with crisp illustrations, and the Productized Agency template, built to sell fixed service packages with pricing. Both are built with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Motion, and TypeScript. They aren't sold individually - they come with Aceternity's paid plans, listed at $199 for lifetime access to all templates and blocks. Good value if you'll use the wider component library too; check Aceternity's license page for client-work terms before you build for clients.

4. Resonance - Best for many demos on a budget

Resonance is a multipurpose creative Next.js template on ThemeForest - Next.js 16 with the App Router, ten pre-built site templates, 100+ inner pages, 20+ portfolio pages, and light and dark versions of each. It's agency-adjacent rather than agency-specific, but the range is hard to match at its $19 Regular License price. The license is the catch: the Regular License covers a single end product for you or one client, so using it across client projects means buying a license per project.

5. buildwithcode888/agency - The free option

This is the best-licensed free agency template we found: MIT, so personal and commercial use are both fine, with light and dark modes and TypeScript, on Next.js 15. The caveats are real - it's on Tailwind CSS v3 rather than v4, it was last updated in March 2025, and it has very little community activity - so treat it as a starting point you'll maintain yourself, not a finished product.

A note on free agency templates

Unlike dashboards or portfolios, there's no well-maintained, widely used open-source Next.js agency template. Several that show up in searches are a version or two behind, and at least one popular repo has no license file at all - which, legally, means you have no permission to use it, however public the code is. If a free template has no LICENSE file, treat it as not free.

How to choose

  • Long-form case studies are how you win work - Studio.
  • You want a distinctive editorial look, filterable work, and a team page for your own studio site - Agency Studio.
  • You want heavy motion and will use a wider animated component library - Aceternity UI.
  • You want many layouts to choose from for one site, on a tight budget - Resonance.
  • You need free and MIT, and you're happy to maintain and upgrade it - buildwithcode888/agency.

If you plan to reuse a template across client projects, decide that before you buy - it's the single biggest difference between these licenses.
